Access Requirements

The Intercontinental Hotel has unrestricted access for disabled visitors. Should you have any specific requirements, please make the conference team aware of this.

Business Centre and Prayer Room

The Business centre is located on the lobby level of the Hotel and is open from 08:00 – 23:00 daily. The prayer room is available next to the business center.

Car Parking

The hotel offers complimentary car parking spaces in the Hotel’s car park, next to the Assultan Ballroom. Disabled parking spaces are also available.


For hotel guests, the Concierge is located next to the check-in reception. For larger items such as suitcases, please leave these with the concierge.

Internet Access

If you are staying at the Hotel, please logon to the Hotel website and enter your Hotel room number and your personal details to access Wifi. Should you require Wifi access and you are not staying at the Hotel, please ask for a Wifi login code from the registration desk.


There are toilets inside the Assultan ballroom and on the ground floor close to the plenary and stream rooms. Disabled toilets are also located here.

Fire Procedures

All delegates need to be aware of the fire procedures and actions to be taken in the event of a fire or on hearing an emergency evacuation announcement. Please take a few moments to read the details below:

  • Raise the alarm by informing a member of staff
  • Inform staff of the exact location and nature of the fire
  • Evacuate the building by your nearest exit and proceed to the assembly area. The assembly area is located outside the hotel in spears restaurant parking lot at the corner facing McDonald's restaurant.
  • Do not collect baggage or personal belongings and not use the lifts.


If an evacuation is necessary you will hear an announcement broadcast over the public address system, use the nearest available Emergency Exit rout to the Assembly point outside the hotel in Spears restaurant parking lot facing McDonald's restaurant corner. Evacuation announcements will be made in both English and Arabic.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency contact a member of Hotel security.



You have been issued with a name badge at registration. For security reasons, and as a courtesy to other delegates, please ensure that you wear this at all time. If you misplace your badge, please ask for another one at the registration desk.

Symposium Team

Staff at the symposium registration desk will be happy to deal with any queries you may have. If we receive any messages for you, these will be announced at the break of the session and can be collected from the registration desk.

Evaluation Forms

Evaluation forms will be handed out at various intervals. We would appreciate your help in completing these, as they are an important source of information on how we can improve your event. Please drop it in the suggestion box available at the registration desk. An honest appraisal is encouraged! In addition, please leave your quotation in our Seeding Knowledge Registrar.

CME Certificates and Speaker Presentations

As a delegate at the Seeding the Knowledge for Tomorrow's Laboratories 2015 you are entitled to CME-PD hours certificate issued by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) at the end of the second day. No certificates to be handed before the symposium end. Workshops and Lectures CDs will be available for sale after the conference and will be announced via the website and emails.

Mobile Phones

As a courtesy to the speakers and other delegates, please turn your mobile phones off whilst the session is in progress.

Personal Belongings

Please keep your valuables and working materials with you at all times. We would advise you to put your symposium notes as we may not be able to replace these if lost. We regret that neither Quality Logic nor the venue can be held responsible for any loss or damage to your property. Please be advised that laptops or any items of significant value cannot be stored in the cloakroom.
